Doing It BIG In 2010!

Source

"GO BIG OR GO HOME"

I am taking on this mantra for 2010. The statement is very bold and speaks volumes and I LOVE IT! As I was doing a little New Years Resolution Searching I decided to scrap the whole Resolutions thing and just have a set mantra that I will follow throughout the year. After looking at my teaser New Year Resolution list; at least two out of the three things on the list will occur. I will be teaching at the college level this summer and I will be running a small marathon. The other two: graduating from my master's program and getting married--well one is bit of a stretch ( I let you guys decide on which one). Lol But I will set my normal goals and do my best achieving them with the help of my 2010 Mantra "GO BIG OR GO HOME"!

With that being said I hope you all have a Happy and Safe New Year!

Bringing 2009 To A Close.......

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they wanted!  Guess Santa thought I was a bad girl this year, because I did not get everything I want but nonetheless, I am blessed! :) But now we are heading into the new year and I am trying to get my thoughts together on my New Year's Resolutions and my goals for the new year 2010! So while I continue doing a bit of Resolution Searching I will leave you with a teaser of my New Year Resolutions. CIAO!

Christmas Cookie Recipe

Are you making some cookies for Santa? Well I know I am! Being a fan of sugar cookies, I am sure Santa will be a fan of them too! Since I don't have the title of the "World's Greatest Baker" I decided to turn to the great All Recipes Website, where I found a great sugar cookie recipe. Hope you enjoy it!

Sidenote: I will let you all know how my version turned out or better yet I will see if Santa could leave a quick note before he goes off into the night!

Prep Time: 20 Min
Cook Time: 8 Min
Ready In:  3 Hrs
Ingredients

    * 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    * 1 teaspoon baking powder
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1 cup margarine, softened
    * 1 1/2 cups white sugar
    * 2 eggs
    * 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

   1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together, set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually blend in the sifted ingredients until fully absorbed. Cover dough, and chill for 2 hours.
   2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. On a clean floured surface, roll out small portions of chilled dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
   3. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are barely brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

I'm Bacckkkkkk!!

Well, well, well! I am back from my vacation, school is officially done for the semester and I feel really good!

Sidebar: It felt really good just typing it!

Nevertheless with the holidays ahead things will continue to be extremely busy! And I have a few things on my to-do list, including FINISH CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!  Yes, I realize Christmas is next week but I thought that I would switch things up this year and brave the madness of Christmas Eve. Lol That's right, instead of being prepared and completing my shopping early I will be toiling through all the left over merchandise. So if you are expecting a gift from me, I don't have it yet and won't have it until Christmas Eve!

Well, well, well! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and got a lot of shopping done. I know I did! But as of lately, I have been buried in the books once again! It's that time for me, where I am cramming in all of my finals, papers and last minute assignment! Sidebar: Did I mention that I HATE GRAD SCHOOL? Well anyway, after Wednesday all will be well because I will be kicking back sipping on on of these:

Laying on one of these:

BECAUSE I WILL BE IN THE:

BAHAMAS ON PARADISE ISLAND FOR FIVE DAYS!!

(CAN YOU FEEL MY EXCITEMENT?)

 This is what I call my end of the school year stress reliever! And boy, you best believe I need it! So on that note I will chat with you all again next week! Toodles

Man-gagement Rings: Love It Or Hate It!

What’s this I hear about an engagement ring for men: a MAN-gagement ring! Yes, it sounds a bit funny when I hear or say it but I kind of like the concept. It is interesting that woman always have to have a visual that connects them to something. When women get pregnant we have a huge belly. When we get engaged, we get a ring. Whereas, men get off a bit easy, if I must say! So yes, I say put a man-ring on it; he’s yours for life right? Love It!

I Heart Letterpress Even More Now.......

One of my bee’s posted this great resource or tool for those ladies who would love to have letterpress wedding stationary but their pockets are not that fat. I guess we would call it a lifesaver but this letterpress starter kit is only (wait a minute, are you sitting down) $69.00. That’s a great steal! So if you are a DIY Diva or a Budget Honey, you may want to check this out!

Disclaimer: I support all types of businesses, especially the wedding stationary industry. However, I am aware that letterpress does not fit everyone's budget. So when I see a good deal I have to put it up, especially in this economy!

Life Isn't About Waiting....

This would make the perfect wedding gift/token to a newly wed couple. This message speaks volumes and can touch the lives of a newly wed couple--especially on the stormy days. I know that when I get married, I will definitely have this blown up or even reprinted and hang it up in a spare room or an office space! It's great motivation and inspiration.

Wedding Paparazzi

I love the wedding paparazzi and there are a few at every wedding--so I am sure you all can relate! Since I adore them, this post is dedicated to the wedding paparazzi! Enjoy

You were born together, and together you shall be for evermore....but let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

YAY! I AM A SUGAR DOLL BLOGGER!!

Westside Bride  is the greatest and she rocks! Some may ask why is she the greatest? Well because I said so! LOL  No seriously, she is the greatest because she took the time to give me this:

Yes, that's right I, Chaotic Bliss whom world is nothing but Chaotic was awarded the Fabulous Sugar Doll award. If you can't tell, I am very, very excited and quite honored! So I guess I have to take the torch and tell a few quirky things about myself.

1. I'm a handbag addict! I own over 200 handbags; don't judge, they are ALL too hott to let go!
2. I can't go to bed without socks on! I like to be comfy!!! :)
3. I have to have a cup a coffee a day! It keeps me sane!
4. I found my husband now I just need to get the bling.
5. My current pet peeve is when people don't use there and their correctly in a sentence. (My Pet Peeves change daily)
6. I have to watch the news every night. As a former news producer I like to know what's going on in my community and most importantly I love to critique the news.
7. The office that I work in could easily pass for "The Office" the television show.
8. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy getting gifts! (Once again don't judge, I am being honest)
9. If I could, I would eat Thai food everyday of my life.
10. I love meeting new bloggers via cyberspace and making new blog friends! (SHOUT OUT TO WESTSIDE BRIDE )

So now I have the hard task of giving this award to 10 Fabulous Bloggers:

1. Run, Sleep, Eat and Rinse
2. A Future Mrs....Hopefully Someday Soon
3. My Carmel Wedding
4. More Lovin Than I Ever Had
5. Always A Bridesmaid, Never A Bridezilla
6. A Chocolate Lover's Confession
7. Almost Her
8. A Wedding Of Our Own
9. Martinis and Madness
10. Essentially Elise

Well there you have it, these are some fabulous blogs! Now I have past the Fabulous Sugar Doll Blog Award torch and once again thank you so much Westside Bride!

Halloween is only a few days away and I already have my costume in tow. Nothing fancy but hey it's something. Before I tell you what I will be for Halloween, let me give you a few clues (this maybe fun).

First Clue: It's very common among halloween costumes.

Second Clue: She loves to sweep.

Third Clue: She is a part of the supernatural.

Fourth Clue: (Now if you don't get it off this clue, then I just don't know) Salem_____Trials

Good Luck and what or who do you plan up dressing up as for Halloween?

Who Let The Dogs Out....

For some reason while typing, that song was playing in my head so I decided to make that the title of this post! While I have been absent from the blog world, I have been doing great things for my community. The first thing I did was volunteer for the Tour De Pink! No, I was not a cyclist but I was the one handing out delicious snacks and refreshing beverages to the cyclists! From that great community service, I was off to donated tons of clothes to the kidney foundation. Someone is going to be a fly diva, watch out now! Now, my next task of good community service involved me helping the kids. I know, Chaotic and Kids don't go hand in hand but I let my guard down and I did it for the kids. I volunteered my services to help at a harvest festival and I was in charge of one of the games. For the most part everything was grand, until this little booger decided to go in my candy box and steal some extra pieces of candy. But I handled that situation very gracefully, by screaming and yelling at the little booger and he ran off! Job well done, in my book!

Besides doing good deeds, I have been swamped with school work. And it's that time again, so I have been really grinding it out. Other than that, no news on this end! But it's great to be back!

Chao!

The Storm

Sometimes I wonder how Mr. Everything puts up with me! As of lately, I have been boggled down with school,  very indecisive about food choices, tired and drained aka a bit psycho.

Nevertheless, he is the calm air to my crazy world; the clear sky to my rainy days! He remains so calm in the midst of any storm, even when I am the "STORM" and I love him! I think about how:

With my crazy life and his calm spirit sometimes just talking to him just makes a gloomy day a bit brighter.

40 Weddings In 40 Hours

I am excited to announce…..

I will be attending the 40 weddings in 40 hours event in Atlanta, Georgia! Each couple will have one hour to get married and have a brief reception. There is a limit of 60 guest, the cost is 80.00 per couple (40.00 for the bride and 40.00 for the groom). Luckily after one of my co-worker did a write up about the event, we were casually thinking that it would be awesome if we donate some wedding items for the bride and groom. Lo and behold we got in contact with the fabulous diva who is over this event, (which all proceeds are going to the Atlanta Children’s Shelter) she was just as excited as we are about the donations.  My co-worker then said nonchalantly, “a few of my co-workers were talking about how we would love to see how this great event will work” and she said, “great, just come on down and I will get you some passes!”

Wooooo Hoooo!! Yes if you can’t tell by now, I am on cloud 100! Wait a minute, there no such thing; but that’s what I feel like. For more information about 40 weddings in 40 hours check our there great site.

Whatever they may entail just be safe and enjoy!
