I Got Robbed On My Birthday.........

I just wanted to say thanks for all the birthday wishes! I am blessed to see another year but my birthday was quite sucky! Yesterday, while I was at work enjoying my birthday vibe I got a call saying that my home alarm was going off! The first thing that came to my mind was OMG, that cleaned me out! Yes I am over the top when it comes to things like weddings, babies and ROBBERIES! Of course I rushed home, to find my back door kicked in and red mud stains througout my home! Lovely! So to make a long story short, the thuggies (aka crooks) dropped my television and broke it! Tried to yank my computer out of the wall, dropped it and damaged the phone connection. But they did take my PS 2, that didn't work! So on my birthday I had my privacy invaded! That's absolutely no fun! All of my birthday plans were cut short at 10am in the morning because some punks wanted to come and take from someone who works hard to get what they have! Luckily they didn't take my Mac or my credit card which was laying on my dresser, they didn't even take my flat screen! Dumb asses! That's how I know they were not real criminals but anyway life goes on! But in a nutshell, that's how I spent my birthday! I know, it's sucks right!?!

P.S. I hope you all have a safe labor day weekend! I am getting ready to head out of town, so I will be out of commission and celebrating my birthday the right way! Enjoy and Be Safe!

Happy Birthday...To Me!

Happy Birthday to Me! I am one year older and one year wiser! I am simply blessed beyond measures! As far as my plans, I don’t have any special plans but I will probably grab a bite to eat with Mr. Everything and my parents.

P.S. If you want to send me a happy belated birthday gift we can arrange that—it’s the simple things that matter in my book!

Great Escape Update

My weekend at Chateau Elan located in Braselton, Georgia was AWESOME and RELAXING, oh yeah and WELL-NEEDED! Just to give you an idea of what I experienced: We toured the winery and did a wine tasting (YES, I got a bit tipsy during the tasting), which lasted about an hour in a half! We also were guest at a cooking demonstration and we had the best chef ever Chef Lyndon. He cooked a salmon wrapped in puffed pastry with a cream sauce and caviar! Oh it was magnificent. After the demonstration, we took a walk on the nature trail, where you get a chance to tour the property-simply beautiful! When we made it back it was time for dinner, so we freshened up and head to dinner. After dinner we enjoyed a live band in one of the lounges on the property.

I recommend that everyone go to Chateau Elan, whether it’s with the girls or your guy! You can also enjoy the spa, golfing, swimming or just lounging around your room. I will definitely be going back with my mom and maybe my friends within the next couple of months---Thank God I Found A New Getaway!

Question?

It's funny when I read this I automatically thought about Mr. Everything! Life is just full of surprises, I think about when I met him I was a "party" girl and he came in changed my whole life and added a balance in my life. I credit God for everything because if it wasn't for his will I probably would have never met my Mr. Everything! If you have a Mr. Everything, call or go tell him that you love him because it's not everyday you meet a good guy!!

Monday Blues

I am having the case of the Monday Blues, mainly because the fall semester starts this afternoon! I was thinking about taking a fall break but I keep going only because I have a good chance of finishing the Graduate Program in December 10' and hopefully I will have a semester to solely work on my thesis.

SIDE NOTE: While I was on my two week break, I really got comfortable and in the midst of all the daily stresses I have to add school to that list! Whoopee! I just have to keep telling myself over and over again:

The Key To Maintaining A Healthy Relationship

I am by far no where near a relationship expert but I have been through a lot with my Mr. Everything and all that we have gone through both good and bad have brought us closer together! No one knows this but all throughout our relationship, especially in the beginning when we were getting serious, meeting families and traveling. I prayed and ask God to show me if this man is the man you want me to be with, lead me and guide me as I go through this journey. I made sure that it was God’s plan from the beginning and not mine! Many people meet guys and they shut the guy down because it’s not what they want. But people should start thinking about what God wants and I am pretty sure—a difference will come out of who you date. Praying is the center of MAINTAINING a healthy relationship but first you must:

This is My Life: Chaotic Bliss....

One question that many people ask me is, "why did you name your blog Chaotic bliss?" And I reply, “Well, that sums up my life, it’s chaotic, yet blissful.” And then they ask, “How is that possible, either you are happy or chaotic, you cannot be both?” And I tell them: My life is truly chaotic but I'm happy and.....

Just Call Me......

Just call me a book slut! That's what I have been doing lately--reading books of all sorts! For both school and business! That's my excuse for being MIA and I am sticking with it!! :) I hope that my blog will change a bit in the next couple of weeks or months: new layouts and a different range of topics! But until then we shall stick with the basis: vintage, inspirational words and other fun topics!!!

What a Day Yesterday?

10:00am: Wasn’t able to see my dermatologist because she was at a different location (YES, I HAD AN APPOINTMENT)

12:00pm: Had a very bad headache

2:00pm: Very hungry, scrambling around my office for food! ( I HATE BEING HUNGRY)

7:00pm: Missed the 1.00 sushi at Harry and Sons ( love you ladies)

9:00pm Missed American Idol (Poor Danny)

9:06pm: Managed to get in a car accident (It wasn’t my fault-I was rear-ended)

So all in all my day was pretty darn weird to say the least but it’s a new day so I am happy!

Are You A Risk Taker?

I have so many thoughts going on in my head, all productive but they won’t go anywhere! You want to know why? Because I am afraid to act on them, I am pretty sure that some of you may have things you want to do but you maybe afraid of failing or not succeeding. Well it’s okay to be fearful we are only human but we as humans should take risk, take a chance---you never know where that road will lead you until you try! In the meantime while we are building our courage up here is a great quote that may help to inspire you:

No One Said Life Was Easy, Or Did They?

As you all may know I am a graduate student—well I'm a non tradition graduate student; which means I work full time and go to school! How do I manage to do it? Yes that’s what I want to know! It is hard and times do get tough. I am constantly reminding myself that I will get through this, or saying to myself "this too shall past" in order for me to continue pressing forward. Working and going to grad school is hard, the work load is heavier and of course more is expected out of you. But I manage to deal and excel, I am by no means a quitter but trust me I’ve come close! Besides my constant drive, my family and mi novio makes this so easy for me to continue. They are so supportive and behind me 110%. However, my Mr. Everything gets the short end of the stick because we don’t get to enjoy each other as much as we would like, we do manage to have date nights, which I do enjoy! But it’s hard keeping everything together without breaking down. With that being said:

Just Let Go!

My dear friend LC has been really going through a lot in the past couple of months, getting to know herself and what she wants out of life regarding a relationship in the near future! I have been knowing LC for a few years now and I actually look at her like a little sister we are only a few months apart but hey, I am older. But I digress, I've witness her grow, I've seen her happy and sad. She is the type of person, who want to be in control of the situation all of the time--but most of the time it can lead to a disastrous place. But I really want what's best for her, so LC if you are reading this, here’s a message for you:

Sometimes it's good to let go! :) Love ya LC!

It's A Weary Wednesday!

Today is very BLAH! It is a rainy Wednesday here in the Land of Chaotic Bliss and I have a long day ahead of me! I have class tonight and I don’t feel like going! My coffee taste like trash this morning because it WASN’T starbucks, my bagel was cold and I am sleepy! This WEARY WEDNESDAY is actually getting to me---I could use a vacation! With my life, I firmly believe that I should take a vacay at least every six months! Heck, I work hard and I don’t play hard enough! I just had to get that off my chest! Whew, feel much better. On more positive note I completed the book of the week last night, Devil in a Blue Dress--By Walter Mosley-- hence that why I am so sleepy! Hope you have a good work day!
