What a Day Yesterday?

10:00am: Wasn’t able to see my dermatologist because she was at a different location (YES, I HAD AN APPOINTMENT)

12:00pm: Had a very bad headache

2:00pm: Very hungry, scrambling around my office for food! ( I HATE BEING HUNGRY)

7:00pm: Missed the 1.00 sushi at Harry and Sons ( love you ladies)

9:00pm Missed American Idol (Poor Danny)

9:06pm: Managed to get in a car accident (It wasn’t my fault-I was rear-ended)

So all in all my day was pretty darn weird to say the least but it’s a new day so I am happy!

The Simplest Things

Sometimes I can be a very complex individual, well most times! And sometimes I wonder how does my Mr. Everything puts up with me and may I say he handles me very well!! But on the flip side of it all me being complex = the simplest things make me smile. My Mr. Everything is nowhere near romantic but it's the small gestures. For example: he loves to cuddle! Now how cute is that! He also has no problem with PDA (public display affection) and he is so gentle with my feelings. Always making sure that I am okay and that I am happy!! It's the little things he does on an everyday basis is what keeps me smiling.

Rockin Weekend

I notice that normally I don't divulge all of my weekend adventures but I must brag on someone near and dear to me. This past weekend I had the honor of visiting my friend Aisha in Birmingham, Alabama to celebrate her great accomplishment: finishing law school. Now all she has to do is walk across the stage and receive her law degree. Vanderbilt was actually lucky to have her for the last three years but I am sure she is happy to be done with it all. Now she is preparing to take it up a notch---passing the bar exam. Which I am proud to say, I am pretty sure that she will pass with flying colors.

With that being said my weekend was a blast----I want a repeat!! (Screaming: REPEAT! ) Oh too bad it isn’t that easy to relive a weekend of fun!

Mantra For The Day....Nah--Let's Go For The Year!

For those of you who don’t like foul language, please CLOSE YOUR EYES! I love this sign, it’s my life’s mantra--this is what I live by! Hilarious! Check it out, courtesy of: I Could Be Ordinary.

Happy Cinco De Mayo with a Twist

Today is such a fun day which is totally hilarious to me!!! This is a day where we go out and drink, take shots and eat great Mexican food with great company! Well I can’t speak for all, but hell—that’s what I normally do on Cinco De Mayo!! I am so excited---I can just relax and not think about work or school and drink a HUGE margarita! Like this one, to be exact:

Besides drinking I will doing a bit of dancing! Ha, let me stop lying I just don't want to sound like a lush, as if all I will be doing is drinking. :) But I will definitely be stuffing my face with shrimp tacos and some good chicken soup or pollo la sopa. Enough about me, to help you kick off your Cinco De Mayo, (here's the twist) I am going to give you a great cocktail to hound the bartender about tonight: The Mexi-tini
It's a simple, flavored Martini made of Van Gogh Oranje Vodka, tequila and orange juice. The Mexi-tini is the perfect spring citrus cocktail for any occasion that brings a little sunshine to the day.

Preparation:

  1. Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker, and add crushed ice.
  2. Let stand for five seconds.
  3. Shake vigorously for five seconds.
