Yes, that's right--I feel broken down! I feel horrible this Monday afternoon, I can’t even sit up straight. My body is aching and my head is pounding! Hopefully, I will be able to provide you with some great content or cute finds but right now I have to focus on getting better plus I have a paper to complete for school.
Despite the way I feel, (lousy) I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope you continue to enjoy your Monday!!

It's A Weary Wednesday!
Today is very BLAH! It is a rainy Wednesday here in the Land of Chaotic Bliss and I have a long day ahead of me! I have class tonight and I don’t feel like going! My coffee taste like trash this morning because it WASN’T starbucks, my bagel was cold and I am sleepy! This WEARY WEDNESDAY is actually getting to me---I could use a vacation! With my life, I firmly believe that I should take a vacay at least every six months! Heck, I work hard and I don’t play hard enough! I just had to get that off my chest! Whew, feel much better. On more positive note I completed the book of the week last night, Devil in a Blue Dress--By Walter Mosley-- hence that why I am so sleepy! Hope you have a good work day!

Eco-Friendly Invites
I have really been on this eco-friendly kick lately, don’t know why but I figure why question it when I am actually doing a great justice for the earth and the environment. I was actually thinking about throwing mi novio a surprise b-day party—don’t worry, he doesn’t read my blog! While I was in my pre-planning stages, I was referred to this great invitation site by this event planner that I know and I think the invitations are so neat and they are made out of wood! How cool is that? Wooden invitations! If I did go through with the party plans---I would definitely place my order. At first glance these cute wooden invites had me SOLD!!!

(I will go into more detail about that in a later post) Anyway, AdoreVintage has the perfect dress for almost any occasion. If you are a vintage fashionista—you will get a kick out of this online boutique!

What's For Dinner Tonight?
If you are always on the go like me you have no time to breathe—I barely have time to blog! (Many times I simply write my post ahead of time and go back and post them later) So cooking dinner is really out of my reach! Instead I normally settle for some soup or some quick like a salad but if you have that yearning to cook or if you have a family to feed then here is a quick dinner recipe for tonight! I hope the Novio is reading!!! Tonight we are serving Shrimp and Broccoli!!
Thanks to Yahoo Food for whipping up these quick meals for working women like myself! Below are the ingredients and the recipe!
Ingredients
1. 2/3 cup bottled clam juice or reduced-sodium chicken broth
2. 1 teaspoon cornstarch
3. 1 tablespoon minced garlic, divided
4. 3 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
5. 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
6. 1 pound raw shrimp (21-25 per pound), peeled and deveined (see Ingredient note)
7. 1/4 teaspoon salt, divided
8. 4 cups broccoli florets
9. 2/3 cup water
10. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or parsley
11. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
12. Freshly ground pepper, to taste
13. Lemon wedges
Recipe
Combine clam juice (or broth), cornstarch and half the garlic in a small bowl; whisk until smooth.
Set aside.
Heat 1 1/2 teaspoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the remaining garlic and crushed red pepper to taste; cook, stirring, until fragrant but not browned, about 30
seconds. Add shrimp and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Saute until the shrimp are pink, about 3 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl.
Add the remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons oil to the pan. Add broccoli and the remaining 1/8 teaspoon salt; cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add water, cover and cook until the broccoli is crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Transfer to the bowl with the shrimp.
Add the reserved clam juice mixture to the pan and cook, stirring, over medium-high heat, until thickened, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in basil (or parsley) and season with lemon juice and pepper. Add the shrimp and broccoli; heat through.
Serve immediately, with lemon wedges.

Spring "Jewelry" Cleaning
I am a BSD (bargaining shopping diva), which means I love to shop but I will look for every possible avenue to get a deal or save a buck! I found this cute jewelry stand that I definitely need because my jewelry is literally pouring out of my old-fashion “vintage” jewelry box! (Shaking My Head) This cute stand is from Urban Outfitters and they are on sale—how great is that?
It’s really embarrassing and I am ashamed. Let me give you some background on why this is such a sad case. I should have done my spring cleaning a long time ago and I haven’t lifted a finger. Actually every time I try to do some spring cleaning, something comes up! Seriously, either a paper or a book that I must read and I must squeeze this all in with my FULL TIME job. It just seems so impossible, so I am committing myself to find knick knacks that will help me with my access of stuff i.e. jewelry, school research, electronics, purses and shoes. So if my next couple of post reflects my home décor, please bear with me and give me any ideas that you may have in mind! It will be great appreciated!

What is Your Weakness?
My weakness is cupcakes and cute clothes! :) But I am a huge fan of a good ole moist cupcake. Over the years cupcakes have gotten really fancy! All sorts of designs and flavors—it’s just wonderful. One of my favorite cupcakes bakery’s is The Atlanta Cupcake Factory in Atlanta, Georgia. Boy, they have some awesome tasting cupcakes. I just smile thinking about it! I suggest that if you are fond of cupcakes like myself, you should definitely make a trip to this cute little cupcake shop!
