Eye Openers

I know I have been on a hiatus but it has been for the best! I have been working really hard on school and just focusing on me! But I am back once again ready to blog about my life events.
Honestly nothing has changed except for my outlook on a lot of things!

Over the last few months I have had some really wide eye openers and it has left me with a new feeling! A great one might I add! I have made some great friendships and I have been able to focus on finishing grad school! One eye opener that's fresh on my mind was brought to my attention yesterday!

After meeting with one of my professors she sat me down and we talked about my thesis! Yes, the big T! Honestly I wasn't going to go that route but she asked and said that she thinks I am a good writer! I revealed to her that if I decided to do a thesis it would be a creative thesis! I figure that's right up my alley since I have a creative mind! She smiled and we talked in depth about the process that I should begin to prepare for T-DAY! Then she said well we can get you in a good PH.D program!! At this point I was like WAIT ONE MINUTE! I had to break the news to her that I am not looking to go get my PH.D right away! But I am more than interested in getting some work published! But I told her let me think about it and she said she would be more than happy to give her input! After all that was said she spoke about the stages of being a SCHOLAR!

She explained that many students feel they are scholars but you are not a true scholar until you reach PH.D because that is your PRIMARY focus. In grad school you are not focusing on anything particular because you have so many different theme papers to right but when you doing your dissertation you are focusing on your passion. I am so happy she broke that down to me because so many teachers misused the word "scholar" while I was in High School! But that was a very well needed eye opener!
